Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Veritas (the "Service"), including the app and the API. By using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Veritas. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these terms.

2. The Service

Veritas provides access to AI models for chat, image, voice, and video generation through a web app and an OpenAI-compatible API. Veritas applies minimal content filtering. Because of this, you are the responsible party for the prompts you submit and the outputs you generate, and for ensuring your use is lawful in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

Minimal filtering does not mean no rules. You may not use the Service to create, request, upload, or distribute any of the following, and doing so is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to authorities:

Strictly prohibited:

Any sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes a person who is or appears to be a minor. This is never permitted under any circumstance.
Non-consensual intimate or sexual imagery of real, identifiable people, including deepfakes and "nudify"-style edits.
Content that impersonates a real person to deceive, defraud, or defame, or that uses a real person's likeness without authorization in a harmful or misleading way.
Content that facilitates serious physical harm, including credible threats, instructions for weapons or mass-casualty attacks, or large-scale fraud or malware.
Anything otherwise illegal under applicable law.

You are solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you. Veritas does not provide legal advice and is not responsible for how you use generated content.

4. API keys and usage

Your API key is yours to protect. Keep it confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your key. Usage is metered against your plan, and limits reset monthly. We may rate-limit or suspend keys that abuse the Service or threaten its stability.

5. Payments

Paid plans are billed in USDC on the Base network for the period stated at checkout. Blockchain payments are final; because of the nature of on-chain transactions, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Plans do not auto-renew unless stated; access reverts to the free tier when a plan expires.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. AI output can be inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable for your purpose, and we do not guarantee availability, uptime, or fitness for any particular use.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veritas is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any content generated through it. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior month.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these terms, in particular the acceptable-use rules, without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes are reflected by the date above.
